Got out today with a last min. trip with a guy wanting to learn the deeper bite and how to locate areas with active fish on sonar. So we took off to the upper end of the lake looking for deep stuff. We spent sometime looking and me showing him how to locate areas on maps and GPS then working the areas with a couple of tactics. He caught on fast boating great numbers and a couple of solid fish on the drop shot using Jackall Cross Tail Shad. He then worked the Omega 1oz Football head boating his first over 5lb fish on a jig in deep water(more than 20 feet). I then took him to a couple of areas to show him how the wacky jig head worked with the new 6.8 flick shake worm on catching bass that suspend off the ledge. He boated several more fish before the trip was over. It was a blessed day on the water for him and I loved watching him boat those fish and gain confidence in his fishing.
