GUNTERSVILLE JULY 2008Capt. Chris JacksonFins-N-Grins Freshwater Adventures 205-706-2425 http://www.finsngrinsfishing.com "no man ever died wishing he had spent more time at the office." -Malcom Forbes Submitted by FINS -N- GRINS FRESHWATER ADVENTURES Date Fished: 7/16/2008 Water Temperature: 80s Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Well I am alive.LOL I have been going non stop on trips and a couple of other thing not to mention major computer problems over the past few weeks. I am working on an old computer until mine comes back so pics are not up right now. The last couple of weeks have been great on the water with only a couple of days that were tuff on my clients. most of the fishing has been done near grass mats in 6-12 feet of water with Netbait C-Mac worms and Omega jigs. The better fish are coming on Jackall Muscle 10 and MC60 crankbaits(shad colors) in the shallow water and Omega jigs on the deeper bite. The Deep bite is getting stronger everyday and as the heat builds it will only get better. The grass on the lower end seems to still be behind past years but is getting better. The upper end of the lake is still producing great numbers and size but the mid lake areas are the most consistant for me right now. I did find some "rat" fish on the upper end of the lake last week but, that bite fell apart about as fast as it turned on.LOL Looking for deeper humps and rock on the lower end is a slow bite but very productive for size. Working jigs in dark colors seem to be working best in 25-35 feet of water. I am off the water today but back at it in the morning. I still have a couple of days in July and Aug open if anyone is interested in a trip. Sept and Oct are almost booked for the frog bite. Hope everyone is doing well. Stay safe and see you on the water. God Bless Phil.4:13
